MTV Networks (MTVN), a unit of Viacom, announced that it streamed more than 57 million mobile videos across all its brands and carriers between February 2007 and February 2008, representing 94% growth over the year prior. MTV continues to be the premiere destination for music on mobile, recording 17 million mobile video streams in the past year, approximately half of which were music videos. (PR)

MTV and MySpace band together
Music channel MTV has struck a deal with social networking site MySpace to create a weekly chart show. The show, called The MySpace Chart, will be shown on the MTV2 channel. It will feature the best music videos as voted for by viewers watching the channel and MySpace users of the forthcoming mtv.co.uk/myspacechart website. (The guardian)

Microsoft in MTV and Sony BMG deals
Microsoft has struck pan-European deals with MTV International and Sony BMG to provide programme clips and music videos across its MSN Video service. The deal will see clips of shows such as South Park and music videos from artists as diverse as Elvis and Britney Spears made available via MSN Video across European countries including the UK, France and Germany.

Imeem, MTV Networks Pact
Music social media network Imeem is adding video from MTV Networks. The agreement allows Imeem to show clips and full episodes from such MTVN channels as Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, VH1, CMT and others. (Billboard)
